I am a faculty member at the Chemistry Department, Universidad del Valle, Cali, Colombia and the scientific advisor to Soluciones Analiticas, Clinicas y Ambientales, SACA (www.labsaca.com), a consulting agency and analytical laboratory based in Cali. Also, I am an adjunct associate professor at the Chemical and Biomolecular Department, Clemson University, SC 29634, USA.

Together with other faculty and students from Univesidad del Valle and other institutions in South West Colombia, we are putting together www.iyccolombia2011.org, a website dedicated to inform about IYC related activities programmed in this side of the world throughout the year.

www.iyccolombia.org will be available by the end of March 2011.
