About:
I am an Chemistry educator at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Kenya with more than 15 years experience in teaching and Research. I have trained Chemists( Analytical and Industrial Chemists), at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I have also taught Basic organic and Inorganic courses to freshmen taking Food Science, Biochemistry, Medical Microbiology, Horticulture, Soil and Water Engineering, and Building Sciences( Architecture and Construction Management). I hold a PhD in Chemistry- Natural Products.
I have also taught chemistry in high schools and the subject have all along been fascinating me.
Presently I am also the Executive Secretary of The Kenya Chemical Society(KCS), Nairobi Chapter. We are presently organizing for a Seminar/Workshop on 30th April 2011 as an event to Celebrating Chemistry in line with IYC2011.
WE EXPECT PARTICIPANTS FROM UNIVERSITIES, STUDENTS, LECTURERS,
AND PROFESSIONALS FROM INDUSTRIES
Specific interests in the IYC 2011 is encouraging interests of young people in Chemistry and Increase the public appreciation and understanding of chemistry
