About:

"Química d+" is a program presented by the Centro de Educación Flexible (Flexible Education Center) of Facultad de Química, based on experimental activities for kids from 8 to 13 years old. It allows them to actively participate in experiments, receiving an adequate explanation of the chemical processes involved.

The main goals of the program are:

- Showing the way chemistry is present and influences in everyday life, explaining the way chemistry works in our surrounding world.

- Instill in students an interest and a more active attitude towards Chemistry and for looking reasons for things that happen in the world surrounding us.

- Increasing scientifical knowledge of the society and awareness of the fact that chemistry is all around.

- Supporting teaching tools in scientific areas of elementary level.

Working directly with kids makes a real contribution towards science comprehension showing that chemistry is part of everyday life and chemistry is fun!

This is a program that has been carried out since 2007 and more than 6000 kids have visited us.
