About:

As the Immediate Past Chair of the Women Chemists Committee (WCC) of the American Chemical Society (ACS), I have great interest in celebrating chemists and chemistry worldwide. We are helping to spread the word about "Women Sharing a Chemical Moment in Time" on January 18, 2011, and encouraging our constituencies to set up local events across the United States. I am also working with Dr. Ingrid Montes (Puerto Rico) to organize technical programming and events for the 2011 IUPAC World Chemistry Congress, under support from an ACS Challenge Grant. As ACS Richland Section IYC Chair, we promote IYC 2011 all year long in our public outreach, activities with students and ACS membership.
