About:

I grew up in a small village on the outskirts of Bungoma town in Western Kenya.

I count my self lucky because i was raised with parents who knew the value of education.

Primary was un eventful but appetite for chemistry grew when in high school. Every one used to say it is a'hard' subject but i was fascinated with experiments and this led me to Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology .

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science majoring in chemistry and returned for graduate studies in organic chemistry.

Have plunged in the field of natural products, isolation, synthensis and evaluation of biological activities particularly anti-cancer, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-malarial etc.

Am interested in encouraging women and youth for the role they can play in chemistry, generate ethusiasm for innovative and creative future of chemistry.
