As faculty advisor of the ACS Student Affilliate Chapter at Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, we will be celebrating IYC primary to increase the understanding of chemistry and the role of women in chemistry.

Our first activity will be held on the Art Museum (Museo de Arte de Ponce) on February 24, 2011. This activity will inagurate the year by having a presentation : Who was Marie Sktodowska Curie? This presentation will be given by Professor Marcelina Velez de Santiago, former PCUPR president and a chemist by profession.
