About:
I am Professor of Organic Chemistry and Chairman of the Department of Chemistry, University of Crete, Greece.
I am also the Congress Chair of the 17th European Symposium on Organic Chemistry, (ESOC 2011) , which will be held at Hersonissos, in Crete, Greece, from the 10th to 15th July, 2011.
This well established conference will provide a forum for broad scientific and technological exchange among researchers from Europe and elsewhere. The ESOC symposia are the main European conferences dedicated to organic chemistry and related areas.
The conference will emphasize on new achievements in the following areas of organic chemistry: Total Synthesis of Natural Products, Catalysis in Organic Synthesis, New Methods in Organic Synthesis, Medicinal Chemistry, Bioorganic Chemistry & Chemical Biology, Supramolecular Chemistry, Synthesis of Functional Materials, and Physical Organic Chemistry.
I believe this conference gives an excellent opportunity to contribute as a successful event during the IYC 2011.
