About:

After obtaining a BSc in Chemistry in 1977, I studied chemical engineering for my MSc and PhD. I worked for Kenya Industrial Research and Development Institute before taking my present job at the University of Nairobi where I teach industrial chemistry undergraduate students.

Last year I and other women chemists at the Department of Chemistry formed an informal groug ' Women in Chemistry' . One of our core activities is to mentor school girls and female university students to pursue chemistry careers.

During IYC, we have planned visit secondary schools to motivate and support girls to appreciate and love science
