I graduated in Chemistry in 1988 and I obtained the PhD in Chemical Sciences in 1992 at the University of Rome La Sapienza; after having spent some years doing research on drugs in the National Doping Control Laboratory, I started on teaching in 1997 and I have been teaching Chemistry to teenagers since then, year after year, trying to convey a positive impression of this discipline, too often superficially (and badly) handled by the media...

I think therefore that encourage interest of students in Chemistry may be a matter of the utmost importance.

Working in the classical and linguistic lyceums (high school) and thus according to the main topics which are analyzed and discussed by the students, I would suggest them to make, as an example, a research on Primo Levi chemist and on the applied Chemistry in cultural heritage preservation.
